Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin) is one of the leading educational and science centres in the Russian Federation in the field of architecture and civil engineering.

NGASU (Sibstrin) has been training specialists since 1930. The University obtained International accreditation at MEng level in 2002. The accreditation is acknowledged by the official recognition certificate given by International Civil Engineers Institution and International Institution of Structural Engineers (London, Great Britain).

The University was awarded the American Golden Certificate of International Prestige in January 2004. It was also awarded the Golden Medal for the Progress Achieved in the field of training specialists and in the social activities’ sphere of students and the academic staff from the Association of Furthering the Development of Industry (Paris, France). in November 2004. In 2005 the University was awarded the Golden Medal “Grand Prix of European Quality”(Switzerland).

According to the All-Russia Public Organization “Business Russia”, NGASU (Sibstrin) is included into 50 best Russian higher educational establishments by demand of graduates in the labour market.

The University has trained more than 42 000 specialists (engineers, architects. economists, sociologists) during its history. It has gained the recognition not only in Russia but also abroad. Students from 35 countries of Asia, Europe, South and North America have been trained at University since 1978.
